Abstract

The following paper has as its main objective the investigation of the thematic and stylistic particularities of the literary genre known as Science Fiction, as well as the analysis of  the  fictional science known as Psychohistory, as seen in the works Foundation (1951), Foundation and Empire (1952) and  Second Foundation (1953) by  Isaac Asimov (1920 - 1983), and its potential similarities to a contemporary historical science.
