17 - POROROCA: UM CORPO POSSÍVEL ENTRE MÍDIAS

Resumo

Este trabalho se utiliza do termo pororoca para criar uma analogia entre o fenômeno da natureza e o encontro que se faz entre duas ou mais mídias. Norteado pela experiência da artista Ana Lana Gastelois, faz um levantamento de questões tratadas pela performance, a fim de verificar onde e como essas questões se cruzam, se sobrepõem e se diferenciam da noção de Pororoca, no sentido empregado pela artista. Busca evidenciar como a Pororoca trata as relações que se fazem tanto entre as artes, a obra e o artista, como entre a obra e o público. Relações em que as margens se desfazem, para se refazerem, em continuo fluxo tempo-espaço, assim como descobrem e traçam as suas próprias características e flexibilidades. Assim a artista absorve o fenômeno da natureza, é contaminada por ele, recria seu significado, e desenrolando sua poética, à deriva, segue. This article introduces the term Pororoca [the merging of the waters of a river with the sea] to create an analogy between the natural phenomenon and the meeting of two or more artistic media. Based on the author´s experience as an artist, it surveys the issues addressed by the performance, in order to establish where and how these issues crossover, overlap and differentiate themselves from the idea of Pororoca, in the sense applied by the artist. The work also tries to highlight how the concept of Pororoca can be used to describe the relations established between different arts, between the work of art and the artist, or between the work of art and the audience. The word implies relations where the margins disappear, just to appear again in a continuous flow of time and space; relations that discover and trace their own characteristics and adaptability. Thus, the artist absorbs the natural phenomenon, is contaminated by it, recreates its meaning and unleashing its poetry, adrift, moves on. She has an undergraduate degree in drawing from Escola de Belas Artes/UFMG, where she also holds an MFA in visual arts. She was awarded a scholarship in Spain from the Programa de Formación para Iberoamérica del Ministério de Educación y Cultura. She was selected to perform her project Objetos Voadores: Beau de l'air at FIT and to perform in "AND" by Gary Stevens, at the Panorama de Dança Festival. She has worked as a trainee in the Potlatch Theatre Group in Italy and has taken part in exhibitions and festivals, among which: FIT Denmark, FIT-MG, FID-MG, MIP-BH, FIP Madrid, Videobrasil SP, FlAAC Brasilia, Imagginni Itália, RioCenaContemporânea, FUNARTE RJ/SP, SAMAP-PB, Grande Orlândia RJ and Itaú Galeria CG. Was awarded a prize for best dance set design in 2000(MG). She has also taught Set and Costume Design at the faculty theater of EBA/UFMG, as well as at the winter festivals of Antonina (PR), Ouro Preto, Mariana, São João Del Rei and Diamantina (MG).
