5. O Corpo entre Memória e Espaço Teatral

Resumo

Partindo da fenomenologia, este artigo investiga as interfaces entre o espaço teatral, o corpo e a memória tanto no que se refere ao teatro quanto ao circo, à performance e à dança. Com auxílio da fenomenologia do espaço formulada por Merleau-Ponty, e com suporte nos conceitos de Patrice Pavis sobre o espaço, identificamos neste estudo que a humanidade se encontra hoje em uma época similar à do Renascimento, pois o homem se coloca sob uma outra atitude diante do mundo, reconstruindo um novo olhar sobre o espaço e sobre as relações do indivíduo com o corpo. Palavras-chave | espaço teatral | fenomenologia do espaço | memória Abstract Based on phenomenological processes, this article investigates the interfaces among the theatrical space, the body and the memory in what refers to the theater, to the circus, to performance and dance. With help of the phenomenology of perception formulated by Merleau-Ponty, and of Patrice Pavis's concepts on space, we identified in this study that humanity lives today in a time similar to the one of Renaissance, because men have to have an unusual attitude before the world, rebuilding a new regard to look upon space and upon the individual's relationships with the body. EVELYN FURQUIM WERNECK LIMA is an architect and town planner (FAU-UFRJ), MSphil in History and Critic of Art (UFRJ), PHD in Social History (city and society) (UFRJ-EHESS), Associated Professor of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro - UniRio - working for the Program of Post Graduate degree in Scenic Arts. Researcher 1-D for the CNPq. Researcher for CAPES (Paris X-EHESS).She is a Member of the Municipal Heritage Council of Rio de Janeiro. She was Manager for the General Department of Cultural Heritage (1990-1992) and Coordinator of the Post-Graduate degree in Architecture and City Planning of the Bennett Methodist Institute (1997-2005). Author, among other books, of From the Vanguards to Tradition (2006), Performing Architecture (2000) - IAB/RJ Award, President Vargas Avenue: a drastic surgery (1990 and 1995) - Olga Verjovski Award. Co-organizer of Space and Theater (2008), Space and city (2004 and 2007), and Culture, heritage and housing (2004). She coordinates the Laboratory of Studies of the Theatrical Space and Urban Memory of UniRio. SOLANGE PIMENTEL CALDEIRA é Chefe do Departamento de Artes e Humanidades da Universidade Federal de Viçosa, Doutora em Teatro (UniRio), Professora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal de Viçosa. Autora do livro Lamento da Imperatriz. A linguagem em trânsito e o espaço urbano em Pina Bausch (2009). Avaliadora do MEC/INEP, líder do Grupo de Pesquisa CNPq Estudos Integrados em Dança, Teatro e Dança-Teatro. Atuou profissionalmente como Bailarina no Balé do Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro e no Balé da Cidade de São Paulo, por 20 anos, recebendo os prêmios APCA e Governador do Estado de São Paulo. SOLANGE PIMENTEL CALDEIRA is the Manager of the Arts and Humanities Department of the Federal University of Viçosa, has a PHD in Theater (UniRio), Teacher of the Masters degree Program in Letters of the Federal University of Viçosa. Author of the book Lament of the empress. The language in traffic and the urban space in Pina Bausch (2009). Appraiser of MEC/INEP, leader of the Research Group Integrated Studies in Dance, Theater and Dance-theater (CNPq). She has acted as Ballerina in the Ballet of the Municipal Theater of Rio de Janeiro and in the Ballet of the City of São Paulo, for 20 years, receiving the prizes APCA and Governor of the State of São Paulo.
