Abstract

This technical manual introduces the Safetyplay Game Design method, an approach developed for creating purpose-driven games focused on industrial safety training. Through three distinct stages - Training Survey, Mapping Training to Game Elements, and Generation of the Game Design Document (GDD) - the methodology ensures that safety content is effectively and engagingly integrated into the game's design. At the end of the process, developers are equipped with a detailed GDD, serving as a comprehensive guide for game production. The detailed application of each phase is discussed throughout the manual, providing guidance for those looking to use games as educational tools in the field of industrial safety.
