Internal displacement: social impasses and some psychoanalytic contributions

Abstract

This article aims to problematize, based on Freudian and Lacanian clippings updated by contemporary authors, the current phenomenon of internal displacement. It uses a reading of authors in this field, as well as a documentary that allows us to build hypotheses about the issue. A brief distinction is made between the concept of refugee and internal displacement, proceeding to the discussion in the psychoanalytical scope, undertaking a dialogue between the notions of identification and identity and, finally, we aim to think how psychoanalysis, as a clinical and theoretical method, can contribute to the question presented.
