This article starts from the relationship between Psychoanalysis and Art to think about the artistic experience of performance. We took as a guiding problem the way in which the relationship between performance art and the scopic pulsion takes place, in such a way that we could reflect on the consequences between this knotting and the constitution of the subject. The theoretical reference used was Lacanian psychoanalysis. Thus, our general objective was to investigate the relationship between the artistic experience of performance and the constitution of the subject. We went through the specific objectives of defining what characterizes art, talking about the concept of sublimation. We made a dialogue with performances performed by the artist Adriano B. de Moraes. We speak of the mirror stage in the subject constitution operation and, finally, we relate these categories.
