Abstract

“Necropolitics,” it’s a term created by the Cameroonian philosopher Achille Mbembe in his homonymous book from 2011, it is an ability of the Sovereign to choose to decide between who lives and who dies, with the objective satisfying his will or, still, for the death promotion of social groups (whether they are determined by their ethnicity, gender or class) by removing these individuals from their political status, sovereigns discover inhuman ways of eliminating those they deem as "enemies of the state”. Based on the book and author mentioned above, questions will be exposed on how this "death policy" is linked to the current Brazilian political sphere and how a systematized "death industry" is conceptualized through it.
