O 'Amanhã' no Antropoceno a partir da exposição de longa duração do Museu do Amanhã (RJ)

Abstract

This essay proposes a journey through the long-term exhibition of the Museu do Amanhã, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The museum is the result of a public and private initiative that brings as a central proposal a look at the challenges of tomorrow in the Anthropocene. The expographic resources based on the use of technology bring information about the choices of the West that generated the Anthropocene and indicate actions that will be taken in ‘tomorrow’. The guiding question of this text and criticism of the exhibition lies in the effects of thinking about a tomorrow based on essentially Western terms, epistemologies and deeply modern fantasies of the future.
