Abstract

This article explores the intersection between images and texts through the study of collective memories surrounding a legend at Casa Bamba, Córdoba, Argentina. Based on an ethnographic analysis and a re-reading of the fi eld notebook, it proposes a refl ection on visual representation in anthropological research. Through the intervention of photographs with the writings from the journal, the potential of images as a tool for dialogue with written words is
highlighted, generating new ways of thinking about ethnography.
