This paper proposes a discussion about how the psicanalyst handles the care of subjects who suffer from drug abuse, including some of his clinical bets, in the context of some current political crossings: the guidelines of Brazilian psychosocial care system; the effects of violence from the War on Drugs speech; and the social bond produced by the uninterrupted consumption of substances to anesthetize the uneasiness in culture. We will address the deadly effects of segregation for certain social groups that use drugs demonstrating that the use of chemical substances causes less damage to subjects who are not limited to these territories characterized by exclusion. Primarily, we affirm that the psicanalyst's policy produces treatment effects in the way the subject deals with drug abuse, in the discursive segregation arising from the field of the social Other that fixes these subjects to certain signifiers (delinquents, bandits, drug addicts, etc.), as well as the possibility of creating clinical work devices in the field of psychosocial care.
