Conceitos para falar de pesquisa na área de Música

Abstract

This article summarizes seven concepts that were developed in a recent doctorate research to name and discuss aspects of the daily work of Music researchers. The concepts are: musicological action, documental object, situational object, musicological repertoire, specter (between disciplines/research lines/subareas), musical research and musicological research. Each concept is presented and then related to the others, stablishing a vocabulary to discuss academic production in Music research in Brazil. This lexicon is the main contribution of this article for the scientific community, by allowing the naming and discussion of aspects of daily activities of the field in postgraduate and research environments, making, as a consequence, new discussions aligned to methodological aspects of the Music research possible.
