Abstract

This paper aims to present the importance of discussing and working with the theme of death and mourning at school, having, as a relevant factor, the current context generated by the pandemic of coronavirus- COVID 19. The main focus of this research is to present theoretical and practical possibilities for dealing with the issue, as well as to provide school managers with the tools to, along with their teachers, approach the theme of death and mourning naturally and in accordance with the guidelines of scholars in the area of psycho-pedagogy. This research, in the current world situation, is of great importance, because it gives educators the opportunity to provide activities and practices that allow their students to talk about their feelings and emotions generated by losses involving situations of death and mourning. Thus, we aim to ease suffering and contribute to children and adolescents being healthy, since, when grief is not talked about, it almost always leads to illness. The research is bibliographically based on the main theoreticians who have addressed the issue.
