Abstract

This article aims to discuss, in a panoramic perspective, the musical work of Camargo Guarnieri, examining it on the perspective on the possibility of the confluence between a brazilian musical language and a modern neoclassic perspective, well expressed in the treatment of musical form. In this way, we analyze the presence of the neoclassical forms in the work of the composer. The mainly analysis orientation is directed to the constitution of a nationalistic language in the musical work of Camargo Guarnieri
