Abstract

This article aims to investigate the procedures implicated in studio musical recordings, mainly, taking in account the relation between guide tracks and the notion of Unwelt (as proposed by Jakob von Uexküll) and Intersubjectivity (as proposed by Philip Tagg). Specifically, a discussion about the integration and permanence of guide tracks on the multitrack recording process will take place in this paper. Therefore, a conclusion can be achieved, about how the guide tracks can be carried over to the creative gestures, installing systemic resonances in the musical production process.
