The text is the result of a doctoral study in progress, whose object is the inclusion of students with disabilities in music classes. In the article presented here, the concepts of disability and ableism are discussed. In addition to the presentation of these concepts, the final section brings examples of how ableism can manifest itself in music classes, proposing reflections on the inclusion of students with disabilities.
