The nursing process in caring for people with Parkinson's disease: integrative review

Objective: to analyze scientific production about the use of the nursing process in caring for people with Parkinson's. Method: integrative review in the Lilacs, Medline, CINAHL, Scopus, Cochrane, Embase and Web of Science databases. Data collection took place in August 2021. After selecting the studies, the sample totaled 20 articles. Results: from the synthesis of evidence it was possible to organize three thematic categories: “The Nursing Process in health care for people with Parkinson’s: Brazilian context”; “Standardized Nursing Language and theoretical references to support the Nursing Process” and “Care models and the stages of the Nursing Process in health care for people with Parkinson’s: experiences and perspectives”. Conclusion: the review study made it possible to understand both in a national and international context the provision of nursing care and the use of the Nursing Process in caring for people with Parkinson's.
