Therapeutic itinerary and quality of life of women with post-mastectomy pain syndrome

Objetivos: identificar o itinerário terapêutico percorrido por mulheres com síndrome dolorosa pós-mastectomia e avaliar qualidade de vida. Método: série de casos, quantiqualitativo, com pacientes de um Ambulatório de Mastologia de um hospital vinculado ao Sistema Único de Saúde para o tratamento do câncer do município de São Paulo. Coletou-se dados sociodemográficos, clínicos e com o Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Breast plus Arm Morbidity FACT B+4. A análise se deu por estatística descritiva e análise de conteúdo de Bardin, apoiada no software ATLAS.ti 8.0®. Resultados: 11 participantes, idade média de 56,3 anos, 72,7% diagnosticadas há três anos ou mais. Os itinerários terapêuticos revelaram início da síndrome dolorosa pós-mastectomia após cirurgia mamária, agravada pela radioterapia. Quanto à qualidade de vida, observaram-se menores escores nos domínios social/familiar e funcional. Conclusão: o itinerário terapêutico indicou sintomas dolorosos não controlados e impacto negativo na qualidade de vida em mulheres com vulnerabilidade social e clínica.
