Comprensión de los estudiantes de enfermería sobre los valores profesionales tras la práctica en unidades de cuidados intensivos: un estudio fenomenológico

Resumen

Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es comprender los valores profesionales de los estudiantes de enfermería tras la práctica en unidades de cuidados intensivos.
Diseño: Estudio fenomenológico descriptivo. Método: Este estudio se realizó utilizando los métodos de Colaizzi y Giorgi. La investigación incluyó a 18 estudiantes de enfermería que habían completado prácticas clínicas en unidades de cuidados intensivos. Resultados: Más allá de valores consolidados como la dignidad, la empatía y la justicia, los estudiantes reflejaron una comprensión transformadora de la identidad profesional, enfatizando el trabajo emocional, la toma de decisiones éticas y la conexión humana experimentada de manera particular en entornos de cuidados intensivos. Conclusión: Los estudiantes de enfermería próximos a graduarse adquirieron una experiencia valiosa en cuidados intensivos, vinculando el proceso de atención con los valores profesionales y aumentando su conciencia. El estudio recomienda promover los valores de enfermería en dichos entornos y alentar a los educadores a actuar como modelos a seguir. Poner énfasis en prácticas holísticas basadas en valores de enfermería es clave para preparar a los estudiantes para entornos de salud complejos.

Dra. Hülya Koçyiğit Kavak es Profesora Asistente en el Departamento de Fundamentos de Enfermería de la Universidad Cumhuriyet. Su trabajo abarca la enfermería clínica, la educación en enfermería y áreas relacionadas de las ciencias de la salud. Ha publicado diversos artículos en revistas nacionales e internacionales y continúa avanzando de manera constante en su carrera académica.

 

Karagözoğlu Şerife, Sivass Cumhuriyet Universty

Prof. Dra. Şerife Karagözoğlu es una académica distinguida en el Departamento de Fundamentos de Enfermería de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Cumhuriyet, Turquía. Con un alto índice h y un sólido historial de publicaciones, es reconocida como una experta líder en Turquía. Su investigación abarca la enfermería clínica, la educación en enfermería, la quimioterapia, los cuidados paliativos y áreas relacionadas de las ciencias de la salud. Ha obtenido reconocimiento internacional y ha publicado ampliamente en revistas de alto impacto, realizando contribuciones significativas a la ciencia de la enfermería tanto a nivel nacional como mundial.
