Abstract

Objective: The research search in the literature for scientific evidence on the use of auriculotherapy and/or auricular acupuncture in oncological fatigue. Methods: This is an Integrative Literature Review in the following databases: PubMed/Medline, Scopus, Web of Science, BVS (National Health Library) and Cochrane. We used auriculotherapy and auricular acupuncture as synonyms, therefore with a Boolean operator OR between them. AND was used to add fatigue and oncology. The inclusion criteria are articles with the theme auriculotherapy or auricular acupuncture in oncological fatigue. After reading the articles in full, we found three articles. We added the reference of the reference, totaling four articles. Results: Of these four articles, two were randomized trials, one was an integrative review and the other was a meta-analysis with a systematic review. All showed positive results for the application of auriculotherapy in oncological patients with complaints of fatigue. Conclusions: In all articles reviewed, there were positive and robust evidences on the use of auriculotherapy, however, there are few researches in Brazil on the use of auriculotherapy in oncological fatigue.
