Nursing Diagnoses of People Who Received Red Blood Cell Transfusions in Urgency/Emergency Care

Objective: to describe the profile and Nursing Diagnoses of people who received Red Blood Cell Transfusions in a hospital Emergency Unit. Method: cross-sectional, quantitative study, with retrospective documentary data collection. Data were collected from electronic medical records, identifying sociodemographic and clinical variables, related factors, defining characteristics and conditions associated with Nursing Diagnoses, and analyzed using R software. Ethical approval with CAAE 75532923.2.0000.5346. Results: 24 medical records were included in the study. Regarding the characterization, 87.50% were male, 58.33% were between 40 and 59 years old, and 75% were trauma patients. The most frequent Nursing Diagnoses were: risk of bleeding, impaired skin integrity, risk of unstable blood pressure, impaired tissue integrity and acute pain. Final Considerations: delimiting nursing diagnoses in hemotherapy allows the targeting of qualified interventions with a view to meeting altered human responses, reestablishing functional parameters and recovering health through safe and individualized care.
