Abstract

Search descriptive, qualitative approach, whose object is the perception of women to pregnancy that requires special care. The objectives were: to identify the perception of pregnant women on pregnancy that requires special care; examine the impact of pregnancy in women's lives and discuss the participation of nurses in the care needs flagged by pregnant women. It was a roadmap implemented a semi-structured in 22 pregnant women interned in a public maternity located in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro, recorded in digital appliances, transcribed and categorized according to the discourse converging. Data analysis indicates that being pregnant is a special experience dynamic surrounded by emotions and insecurities. There was a recovery of the pregnancy, the importance of family support in overcoming the difficulties imposed by pregnancy and the need for a performance of the qualified professional, based on guidelines, attention and host providing greater confidence in the success of pregnancy.
