Objective: to present an outline of a dissertation that aimed to analyze the social representations of nursing students about sexuality, to identify how we present the issues of sexuality during the course and to investigate how students identify and tout these issues. This article will focus on the experience of issues related to sexuality. Methods: an exploratory study with qualitative approach. An interview with semi-structured with students of the 7th period, license and first year of residency in nursing. The interviews were analyzed taking in consideration the content analysis. Results: aspects related to sexuality during vocational training were experienced with a lot of strangeness and embarrassment and expressions of anxiety and insecurity when dealing with the body of another. Conclusion: students have become professionalized, but do not know how to deal professionally with these issues, causing them great conflicts. And these moments are lived almost in solitude, because little is said about it, not with teachers or with friends and classmates. It is very important that the discussion of this topic is made also between the teachers. Descriptors: Nursing Care, Nursing Students, Sexuality.Downloads
