LOCAL/GLOBAL RELATIONS OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL DIMENSION IN THE ACADEMIC VIEW

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to identify the perception that students of the School of nursing has on the local / global relations of the dimension in environmental discuss in what sense the subjects offered in the course help that perception, analyze to read integrated approach to global and local dimension environment facilitate better understanding of the occurrence of the process health/disease. Methods: This is a descriptive and qualitative inquiry. To collect the data we used a form of research of four questions that generated placements were analyzed based on the precepts of the content analysis. Results: The phase of analysis identified four categories: 1- The globalization of environmental problems; 2- The location of environmental issues; 3- The relationships between environment and health in the process of training of professional nursing; 4- The relationships between environment - health in the health-disease. Conclusion: This study allows us to say that the reflection proposed here is still within the peripheral process of training of future nursing professionals, dealing the issue in a timely manner and linear.
