Abstract

Goal: The present research presents a overview of the scientific production trends about the motherhood, in the presence of a congenital malformation. Method: It treats of a descriptive, qualitative study, of exploratory nature that used the bibliographic research in national and international indexed electronic data bases like tool for the data search. There were analyzed abstracts of works available on-line in the bases BVS, BDENF, Cochrane, LILACS, MEDLINE, MINERVA, SCIELO and Portal CAPES. Results: The research evidenced greater trend of production about the theme in the Psychology area, being evidenced “gaps”, mainly in the Nursing publications. Conclusion: We point, thus, the need of greater thematic’s discussion, in order to make possible to contribute for the construction of a solid body of knowledge for base of the obstetric and neonatologist nurse’s practice.
