Exposición al humo de incendios forestales durante el embarazo y resultados perinatales:
una revisión integradora

Objetivo: identificar y analizar la evidencia científica publicada sobre los efectos de la exposición al humo de incendios forestales en los resultados perinatales. Método: Revisión integradora realizada entre noviembre de 2023 y enero de 2024, con búsquedas en las bases de datos PUBMED, Web of Science, Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) y Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), seleccionándose 16 estudios. Resultados: la exposición al humo de incendios forestales se asoció con nacimientos prematuros, bajo peso al nacer e incluso muerte fetal. Conclusión: los hallazgos evidencian la necesidad de estrategias públicas que reduzcan los riesgos para la salud maternoinfantil en contextos de incendios.
