Construction of educational material: a potential strategy to improve care in a health unit / Construção de material educativo: uma estratégia potencial para melhorar o cuidado em uma unidade de saúde

Objective: to develop educational material as a proposal for a campaign of popular health education, aiming to improve care in a health unit. Method: a first version of the slide presentation was created, containing information for adequate monitoring of health conditions. Afterwards, it went through stages of correction and approval by different sectors (Coordination of the health unit, Health Coordination, Primary Care Directorate and Communication Consultancy). Results: the final material contains the following blocks of information: (I) territory division and reference team; (II) women’s and babie’s health; (III) vaccines; (IV) monitoring of health conditions; (V) existing groups in the healthcare facility and (VI) differences between a primary healthcare facility and an emergency room. Conclusion: ensuring the access of users to the information of the material may aid the qualification of care, making it continuous and more effective.
