Objective: To develop an educational brochure for hemodialysis patients, addressing essential care of the AVF in the home environment. Methodology: Integrative literature review and development of the educational material in both printed and digital versions. Fifteen articles were included, analyzed in terms of design, level of evidence, and outcomes, allowing the synthesis of practical recommendations for patients and caregivers. Results: Factors such as age, educational level, family support, and health literacy directly influence self-care behaviors, with a gap identified in adherence to guidelines on AVF maintenance. Conclusion: The developed educational technology is an effective tool to strengthen the autonomy of chronic kidney patients, reduce preventable complications, and support nursing protocols.
