Validation of a protocol for a preoperative nursing teleconsultation instrument

Objective: to validate a standard operating procedure and a preoperative nursing teleconsultation script for patients scheduled to undergo oncologic surgery in gynecology and bone/connective tissue clinics. Methods: a content search and analysis with quantitative and qualitative components was conducted via an expert panel. Results: there was total or partial agreement among all experts that the form, intended to guide the interview, was described clearly and comprehensibly, facilitating the exchange between nurse and patient. Conclusion: the protocol and script of the teleconsultation instrument are fundamental for systematizing care, enabling the identification of risk factors, and contributing to the implementation of nursing interventions.
