Abstract

The Pharmacy is a sector of great value for the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), since this depends on its services to give continuity to the quality assistance. This descriptive study had as object the daily Relation between the mentioned sectors and one of objectives was to evaluate the repercussion of the relation of these services in the assistance to the critical patient. The study it was developed in the General ICU at the University Hospital Pedro Ernesto, in Rio de Janeiro. Had been analyzed 196 medical prescriptions and copies on January to March of 2007. The data had been gotten by questionary contained closed and predetermined questions. The results had shown that the Pharmacy is responsible for 36% of the imperfections related to the supply and that the biggest number of implications (65%) falls again on Intensivista Nurse.
