The teaching of nursing consultation in the context of public health: a report of experience

Objective: To describe the experience of living with students in undergraduate nursing education / orientation of the query present report deals with the experience of the residents of Nursing Specialization Course in Public Health in Housing Molds, School of Nursing Aurora de Afonso Costa da Universidade Federal Fluminense, while within the field of activity in the interdisciplinary program of geriatrics and gerontology at the university with undergraduate students in this school nursing. The students have as a training laboratory of practical nursing program, where consultations are ambulatory and nursing home with elderly patients and their caregivers. In this field the students have always been under the continuous attention of teachers, however, with the inclusion of residents in the nursing program, the profile of supervision of students has changed, it began to be supervised also by the resident. Conclusion: This change has brought experience of freedom in the exchange of knowledge and customer relations for a graduate student in nursing during the course of intentional action of the nurse, nursing, and the resident was found to be a novel experience because the interrelationship between education, resident and academic, in the presence of the customer.Downloads
