Abstract

Objective: to analyze the evidence in the scientific literature about the assistance provided by nurses who work in the family health strategy to children who suffer abuse. Method: Integrative review carried out in the following databases: Web of Science, Embase, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature and Medical Literature and Retrivial Online System, from March to May of 2021. Results: Eight studies were selected that emerged in the following categories: knowledge of nurses' professional practice in cases of child violence; nurses' unpreparedness and lack of protection regarding decision-making in cases of violence and difficulties faced by nurses in primary health care through the referral of cases of violence. Conclusion: The nurses' lack of care preparation is identified by the absence of a standard operational protocol to guide the assistance to children who are victims of child violence.

Bachelor of Nursing from the University of José Rosário Vellano (2016). Category 2 CNPq researcher, leads the GERPCO Research Group - Study Group on the Rehabilitation of Surgical and Oncological Patients, registered since 1990 at CNPq. Graduated in Nursing and Obstetrics from the University of São Paulo (1985), Master's in Nursing from the University of São Paulo (1990) with the Dissertation entitled: The non-verbal dimension of the nurse-patient interaction in a preoperative situation and a Doctorate in Nursing from Universidade de São Paulo (1995) with the thesis entitled: The feeling of hospitalized patients facing the invasion of their territorial and personal space. He obtained the title of Associate Professor in 2002 with the thesis Quality of life for patients with head and neck cancer. He is currently a retired professor, Associate 3 at the University of São Paulo at Ribeirão Preto College of Nursing, on 10/19/2018 he assumed the position of Full Professor at the Federal University of Alfenas-UNIFAL, participates as a researcher in the Research Group Health Disease Process in the Sociocultural Perspective of UNIFAL. He was head of the Department of General and Specialized Nursing at the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto, from 2015 to 2018. He was president of the Committee on Culture and Extension of the School of Nursing of Ribeirão Preto from 2003 to 2013; Coordinator of the Chamber of Courses of the Pro-Rectory of Culture and Extension at USP from 2009 to 2013.
