Health literacy of adolescents in the context of health care: a scoping review protocol scoping review

Objective: To map studies on the relevance of health literacy for health care aimed at adolescents. Method: Protocol for the review of the scope that will be developed according to the methodology proposed by the Joanna Briggs Institute with the guidelines of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews. The survey will be carried out in nine databases. Two reviewers will perform the initial screening through titles and abstracts, then read the full articles and extract information from the selected studies. The data collected will be organized and classified into categories, according to their content. Results: It is expected to know the health literacy of adolescents in the context of their health care. Final considerations: The results obtained will be shared with the academic community and those responsible for the formulation of public policies focused on adolescent health.
