RESILIENCE IN WOMEN WHO EXPERIENCED VIOLENCE - REVIEW OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION

OBJECTIVE: To contribute to the deepening of discussions about resilience, adding nursing and women who experienced violence, as the resilience can be developed at any stage of a person's life nowadays and resilience has been investigated primarily by psychology and focuses on understanding and enhance resilience in children and adolescents. METHOD: A literature review of scientific literature on resilience in women who experienced violence in the area of public health. RESULTS: We found 5 articles that were categorized as theoretical, field research - diagnostic, and reporting experience. We found that the papers on the subject is scarce and the studies focus on the visualization of violence to women and its harmful consequences. We found that resilience is not incorporated in the discussions and reflections of health professionals and researchers. CONCLUSION: We conclude that the promotion of resilience is fundamental to the health of women who experienced violence and is a challenge in the care of health professionals. It is necessary to incorporate the theme in the curricula of undergraduate and postgraduate students and health units, with discussions aimed at changes in multidisciplinary care.
