Occupational stress, coping strategies, and well-being in nursing professionals: a cross-sectional study / Estresse ocupacional, estratégias de enfrentamento e bem-estar em profissionais de enfermagem: um estudo transversal

Objetivo: analisar as associações entre coping ocupacional, bem-estar no trabalho e estresse ocupacional entre enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem de um hospital público pediátrico da Amazônia brasileira. Metodologia: estudo do tipo survey, com 238 profissionais de enfermagem, sendo 88 enfermeiros e 150 técnicos de enfermagem. Os dados foram obtidos por questionário sociodemográfico, estresse, bem-estar e coping. Empregaram-se estatística descritiva, correlação e regressão linear múltipla com erros-padrão. Resultados: não houve diferenças entre categorias no estresse ocupacional total e nas dimensões do bem-estar, e no coping, apenas esquiva diferiu. O estresse correlacionou-se inversamente com afeto positivo (r=-0,359) e realização (r=-0,209) e diretamente com afeto negativo (r=0,504). No modelo ajustado final, menor afeto positivo (β=-5,40; IC95% -8,27 a -2,54) e maior afeto negativo (β=7,50; IC95% 4,57 a 10,43) permaneceram associados a maior estresse ocupacional. Conclusão: dimensões afetivas do bem-estar mostraram associação mais consistente com o estresse que categoria profissional e coping.
