About the Journal

Revista M. is a thematic academic journal published twice a year, online and with open access, linked to the Imagens da Morte e do Morrer na Ibero-América Research Group (Images of Death and Dying in Ibero-America)  – based at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) and accredited by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). Its mission is to widely disseminate national and international scientific production on the subject of death, becoming a reference journal for those interested in the different forms of knowledge produced on finitude, with the most varied approaches and perspectives possible, addressing different subjects in around dying, as well as the diversity of practices and conceptions linked to human death in the most different environments, cultures and times.

It is financed and produced by the Postgraduate Program in History of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO), through funding from the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), linked to the federal government of Brazil, and It has a Latin American partnership with the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo (UAEH) / Mexico and other institutions, associations and research groups from Brazil and Argentina. It has counted on the collaboration of authors, editors, members of the editorial board and advisory board, as well as reviewers, from different countries, with emphasis on Ibero-Americans.

Publishes original and unpublished articles, preferably written by doctors, who are not being evaluated by another journal, from areas of social sciences and humanities or in the interface with them. Accepts submission of texts in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French and receives contributions in a continuous flow, exclusively online, through access to the SUBMISSION program, available on the Periodicals Portal of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO): http://seer.unirio.br/revistam/about/submissions
